We are passionate about Foundation Stage, which is the key stone of a child’s educational journey. Find out about what we offer for nurseries, pre-schools and playgroups.

We use dance, drama and storytelling as a means to explore the world, feelings and story structure as well physical awareness. We are happy to link the workshops to any theme or topic work the children are currently working on.

Each of our classes are based around a theme and a simple hand written story to suit the students (ages, abilities, topic work). We weave together dance, drama, and storytelling to teach children about physicality and musicality and build confidence all while having fun and getting good exercise.

We encourage active learning, free expression and improvisation though the use of simple props and musical instruments. Each class always has a mix of familiar rhymes, classical and world music. It is widely recognised that, as well as being great exercise, dance and drama aids physical and emotional development as well as confidence and concentration.

We are very happy to provide references from parents and other educational establishments and have all of the requisite insurance and DBS.

We run Fidgety Feet as a unique service tailored to each school’s individual needs and desired outcomes.

We are an independent provider and not part of any larger organisation and do not mass produce in a one size fits all formats. We also hugely enjoy what we do!

Aviva came and taught my reception class and I can safely say that the children loved it! She was so enthusiastic and this in turn motivated the children to create some lovely little dances. There was a sea of smiley faces!

Aviva’s sessions cover many areas from the FS2 curriculum which was fantastic for making observations of the children’s learning. The story telling element to dance was wonderful for the children. During the rest of the day many of the children moved their learning on by making up new elements to the story and creating more dances whist telling their stories.

Aviva managed the 30 children well and gave them lots of positive feedback. She provided lesson plans in advance and was flexible in which stories she used so that they fitted in with our topic Jack and the Beanstalk.

I cannot recommend Aviva more highly! All of the children were thoroughly engaged in the sessions and couldn’t wait for the next session. As a teacher I picked up some fantastic tips too!”
